Gift Card Program
Lila’s Fund’s primary mission is to provide $50 gift cards to every family staying at Ronald McDonald House Charities in West Michigan and Ann Arbor, offering assistance without requiring families to request support.
All families checked into either house are eligible. At the West Michigan house, gift cards are offered upon check-in, with options including Amazon, Door Dash, and Meijer. At the Ann Arbor house, families are offered a selection of gift cards upon checkout—including Door Dash, Target, Meijer, and Walmart—to assist with their journey home.
Through this initiative, we strive to ease the financial burden families may face while honoring Lila’s legacy through meaningful, compassionate support.

Hope motivates us to keep going, even when things seem impossible or overwhelming. When we have hope, we believe that better days are ahead and that we can make positive changes in our lives and in the world around us.
Lila's Hug of Hope
While Lila was in the hospital, we received heartbreaking news that Lila’s health was declining, and getting to a point where there was limited medical interventions.
Having to make heartbreaking decisions in the near future was destroying us, we barley had energy to stand up. While laying next to Lila, one of her nurses grabbed a blanket wrapped me up and gave me a sincere hug and told me Lila was lucky to have me as her mom.
Sometimes, a sudden hug can change someone’s life without any reason. We hoped Lila would give us a sign as we did not know what to do…the next day Lila told us she was ready to be our forever angel.

A warm cup of coffee may seem simple, but during long hospital days and sleepless nights, it can be a small moment of comfort, energy, and reassurance that families are not alone.
